William B. Meyer, Inc. Hosts 19th Annual Holiday 5K

This past Sunday, William B. Meyer, Inc. hosted its 19th Annual Holiday 5K Walk/Run at the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield, CT. The run benefits the Fairfield Police Toy Drive, Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund and Operation Warm through the Fairfield Fire Department, which provides brand new winter coats to those in need. Every participant in the 5K donated a brand new toy for children aged one to sixteen years old. The Fairfield Police Union collects the toys and distributes them throughout the local community to children in need.

This year, we had over 45 participants from Meyer and hundreds more signed up from the local area. The 3.1 mile trail is mostly flat and appeals to runners of all skill levels. The day starts with a fun run for children followed by the 5K and then refreshments and awards. From the William B. Meyer, Inc. team Kali Holden placed second at 21:48 and Louis Sosa placed second at 20:39 for their times in their age groups.

William B. Meyer, Inc. would like to thank Marty Schaivone from M.S. Running Production for continuing to organize a race day that is fun and festive and the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield, CT for hosting the event.
