William B. Meyer, Inc. today announced our Values Leader and Values Honorable Mentions as part of its LEADERSHIP IN VALUES employee recognition program. Honorable Mention for second quarter 2013 went to Don in Residential Moving out of Stratford, and Lori in Commercial Relocation out of Windsor. Our overall Values Leader was Harry in Rigging out of the Windsor office for his exceptional leadership in managing clients and significant contracts this past quarter.
The LIV program continues to grow as more standout employees are recognized. MEYER’s Windsor location produced both the Values Leader and one of the Honorable Mention award winners. Jim Brown, General Manager for William B. Meyer, Inc. presented the awards at the Windsor ceremony. He remarked on their sense of pride, “Windsor generated nominations for two exemplary employees this quarter; I am proud to say the most overwhelming sense in the room during the presentation was that of camaraderie. It was humbling to see how well our employees work together, and how they each share in each other’s successes.”
Harry was unanimously voted as Values Leader by the LIV Committee for his exemplary work ethic, leadership and project management skills within the Windsor Rigging department. Harry was nominated by his peers for his recent work with an out-of-state client with a demanding project timeline. Harry exemplified all five leadership values especially Dependability, Stewardship, and Integrity during the course of his work by staying onsite, returning home only on the weekends. His dedication and attention to both the customer and the details of the job, insured a flawless execution and so impressed the client, that MEYER Rigging received a bonus and was granted an exclusive contract to handle all of the client’s rigging needs moving forward. Most importantly, because the client understood that Harry’s performance is emblematic of William B. Meyer, Inc.’s service commitment as a whole, they subsequently recommended MEYER Rigging to their associates.
Don received a Values Honorable Mention for his impressive, dedicated management of MEYER’s Household Goods department. His organizational skills allowed him to expertly coordinate multiple moves while providing sound communication between employees, fellow OA/DA coordinators and clients. Summer is always a peak season for this department, and under the best conditions, managing Household Goods can be trying, but a colleague’s unexpected medical leave left Don the sole point of contact for all HHG moves. He exhibited Integrity, Dependability, Stewardship and Creativity, working long hours every day for the entire summer. His diligence and commitment to his profession allowed Don to provide superior service to William B. Meyer, Inc.’s customers.
Lori, Values Honorable Mention, was nominated for her performance in Windsor’s Commercial Moving department. Her personification of all five corporate values, especially Honesty, Integrity and Dependability allowed her to properly handle a client whose highly-valued artwork was damaged while in our care. Lori replaced the damaged frame while still meeting her client’s deadline. The client was satisfied with the actions MEYER took, and was pleased with the ownership Lori demonstrated.
