The Season of Giving: Meyer Partners with Thomas Merton Family Center

This holiday season, the Meyer team came together to support the Thomas Merton Family Center in Bridgeport—a vital community resource that serves over 300 guests daily with hot meals, a food pantry, case management, and essential services for those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.  

Meyer’s support took multiple forms this year: 

  • A monetary donation to support the Center’s expanding community programs 
  • A company-wide Thanksgiving food drive collecting essential items for the Center’s pantry
  • Hands-on volunteer work, with Meyer employees spending time at the Center bagging Thanksgiving meals for families in need 
     

The Thomas Merton Family Center is committed to providing a loving, safe, and hope-filled community atmosphere. Through their daily breakfast and lunch services, Connie’s Eat Smart Food Pantry, shower program, case management, and partnerships with healthcare and job training organizations, the Center respects the dignity of each person while addressing critical needs.  

“The sharing of a hot meal is an invitation to come in and share in a place where one can belong,” reflects the Center’s mission—a philosophy that resonates deeply with Meyer’s commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work.
