This holiday season, the Meyer team brought smiles to children across three regional organizations—Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport, CT, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital at Bridgeport Hospital, and Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA.
Meyer sponsored, organized, and personally delivered holiday toy donations designed to bring creativity, comfort, and joy to children during a season that should be magical.
Reaching Children Where They Need It Most
Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport has been enriching lives through learning since 1962, offering educational, recreational, and social programs to moderate and low-income families and young people. Meyer delivered nearly 200 gift bags to children served by the Center.
Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital at Bridgeport Hospital provides specialized pediatric care through a 22-bed pediatric unit, Children’s Emergency Center, and Level III NICU. Meyer’s gifts reached young patients of all ages—from infants to adolescents.
Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield is the only accredited full-service children’s hospital in western Massachusetts, serving over 40,000 patients each year. Meyer has been providing specialized gift selections for both babies and teens every holiday season for nearly 20 years.,
Thoughtful and Personal
The team carefully curated creativity-focused gifts: markers, coloring books, Play-Doh, Squishmallows, tic-tac-toe games, and play foam. Meyer employees bagged every toy and personally delivered them to children at each organization—seeing the smiles and excitement on young faces made every effort worthwhile.
From supporting the Thomas Merton Family Center’s Thanksgiving (link to other story here) efforts to bringing holiday cheer to children across the region, Meyer’s commitment to community giving reflects our belief that the spaces we help create are only as strong as the communities they serve.
