Setting the Stage for Success: Meyer Supports Sacred Heart University’s 60th Commencement

Commencement represents the pinnacle of a university’s academic year—a carefully choreographed celebration where every detail matters. For Sacred Heart University’s 60th commencement ceremonies, more than 2,500 undergraduate and graduate students walked across the stage at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport to receive their degrees.

Behind the scenes, Meyer’s team worked to ensure every element was ready—from delivering stage components to the amphitheater to setting up multiple reception venues across campus—so Sacred Heart could focus on celebrating their graduates.

A Week of Celebrations, Countless Details

Commencement week at Sacred Heart involved far more than a single ceremony. Meyer coordinated logistics across multiple venues and events:

The Main Event: Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater Meyer’s rigging team loaded and transported the complete stage infrastructure from SHU’s West Campus storage to the amphitheater, including stage platform with stairs, 50 stage chairs for faculty and dignitaries, podiums, 3,500 diploma tubes, university flags representing each college and school, the university mace and ceremonial elements, stage banners (prepared and steamed prior to transport), directional signage for faculty, VIP entrance, staff, alumni, and student line-up areas, step-and-repeat backdrop for graduate photos, and weather contingency items.

Campus-Wide Event Support Beyond the amphitheater delivery, Meyer installed temporary flooring in Sacred Heart’s basketball arena for another commencement-week event and set up chairs and tables at multiple reception venues across campus—ensuring graduating students and their families experienced seamless celebrations wherever they gathered.

The Advantage of Partnership

This work reflects Meyer’s embedded partnership with Sacred Heart. With Meyer team members permanently assigned to campus, we understand the university’s spaces, standards, and where ceremonial items are stored—enabling efficient coordination during the busiest week of the year.

More Than Moving—Mission Support

Commencement isn’t just another event. It’s the culmination of years of student work, family sacrifice, and institutional mission. Sacred Heart University’s 60th commencement demonstrates what’s possible when a workplace solutions partner truly understands an institution’s operations and ceremonial traditions.

Congratulations to Sacred Heart University’s Class of 2026. Meyer is honored to support the moments that matter most.
