Workplace Solutions for Workforce Solutions: Meyer Relocates Capitol Workforce Partners

Capitol Workforce Partners (CWP)—the nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting job seekers with employers and strengthening Connecticut’s workforce—recently relocated their Hartford headquarters from their longtime home at Union Place to a newly refurbished space at 350 Church Street, just blocks away in downtown Hartford.

Meyer managed the comprehensive relocation, combining office moving, furniture decommissioning, and multi-site coordination to ensure CWP could continue their critical workforce development mission without interruption.

A Multi-Faceted Relocation

The project spanned multiple locations and service types:
Primary Office Relocation: Meyer moved contents, computers, and furniture from CWP’s second-floor Union Place location (above Hartford’s historic train station) to their new headquarters at 350 Church Street—a beautifully refurbished space with updated systems furniture and workspace configurations.

Multi-Site Coordination: Some equipment and materials were delivered to CWP’s Manchester, Connecticut facility, requiring careful coordination to ensure items reached the right destinations.

Large-Scale Decommissioning: Meyer handled the removal and disposal of outdated and worn furniture from the Union Place location, clearing the space for the next tenant while helping CWP start fresh in their new headquarters.

Facility Support: Meyer removed whiteboards, glass boards, and cork boards from Union Place and is developing plans to reinstall them in the new 350 Church Street location, providing comprehensive move-in support beyond just furniture placement.

Navigating Downtown Logistics
Moving within downtown Hartford presented unique challenges. The 350 Church Street building required all moving activities to occur after hours or on weekends to minimize disruption to existing tenants. Meyer coordinated a Friday evening and Saturday move to accommodate these restrictions while maintaining project efficiency—demonstrating the flexibility required for urban office relocations.

Supporting Connecticut’s Workforce Mission
Capitol Workforce Partners plays a vital role in Connecticut’s economy, helping job seekers develop skills, connecting employers with talent, and strengthening the state’s workforce infrastructure. Their move to 350 Church Street positions them in a modern, collaborative workspace that better serves their mission.

Meyer is proud to support organizations like CWP that invest in Connecticut’s future—providing the workplace solutions expertise that allows mission-driven nonprofits to focus on what matters most: the people and communities they serve.
