The Discovery Museum of Bridgeport provides an engaging environment for children of all ages by promoting adventures in art and science. Each year the facility hosts over 65,000 visitors and a recent delivery late one evening left the staff faced with a daunting challenge. The doors were scheduled to open in just a few short hours and the materials that had been delivered to the main lobby were obstructing the entrance to the building.
Placing an early morning call to Meyer set their minds at ease. A crew of six relocation experts were dispatched immediately to move the items into temporary storage. The materials consisted of new equipment that would be integrated into several exhibits as well oversize decorative items like plastic columns, cases, and instrumentation.
Working against the clock, the Meyer team was able to rapidly load a truck and take all the objects to the temporary storage area. The museum staff was relieved to see the main entrance was cleared just in time for the first visitors of the day. The staff was grateful for the effort and the speedy solution provided by Meyer.
